The other day, Bruce Jenner, the husband of Kris Jenner, mother of the three Kardashian sisters, was pictured at a Lakers game in LA with a visible scar on his face. As it turns out, he had surgery for skin cancer.
Because everything the Kardashian klan does doesn't happen without cameras around, it's no wonder Bruce's scar and stitches didn't go unnoticed.
USA Today even ventured to speculate on whether he had more surgery done, especially since he has always been very open about the work he'd gotten throughout the years.
“Bruce Jenner is causing buzz for some very obvious stitches on his face at last night's Mavericks- Lakers game in Los Angeles. No word yet on what caused the cut. Jenner, 62, has been open about plastic surgery in the past,” the publication initially wrote.
As it turns out, the scar is not from plastic surgery – but Jenner did go under the knife.
TMZ reports he had a piece of skin removed because of a cancer scare. The intervention took place less than a week ago, which would explain why Bruce is still wearing stitches.
“Those stitches on Bruce Jenner's face are the aftermath of a serious skin cancer removal surgery. Sources connected with Jenner tell us, Bruce went under the knife Friday,” the celebrity e-zine writes.
“Bruce went to the doctor because he saw a small red mark on his face. His doctor removed a piece of it and after a biopsy it was determined to be skin cancer. Bruce went to an outpatient facility and had a chunk of the surrounding area removed,” adds the report.
For the time being, Bruce no longer has reason to worry because the cancer was caught in time, the aforementioned media outlet writes.
However, he's to take extra precautions when going out in the sun, especially if he indulges in his favorite outdoor activity, golf.
As noted above, Bruce made no secret of his plastic surgery. He's been very open about the facelift he got but, then again, it's not like he could have denied it given that it changed his appearance completely.
