14 DAY TRIAL // If you happen to pass by a newspaper stand this Friday, you will see Bruce Jenner’s face staring right at you from the cover of the latest issue of InTouch Magazine and you will most definitely notice that something’s changed about it. He’s wearing makeup and women’s clothes, and a large headline under the photo reads “My Life as a Woman.”
Bruce Jenner, former Olympian turned reality star and (now ex) husband of Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, has been the subject of countless rumors for over a year, many of them claiming that he was transitioning to female.
InTouch claims he’ll be coming out in 2015.
Bruce Jenner is about to come clean
Though it’s clear at the first sight that the photo on the cover is photoshopped and that Bruce never actually posed for it (cool scarf, by the way), the headline is meant to make us believe that it’s nothing short of foreshadowing of how he’ll look when he officially comes out as a transgender woman on the cover of The Advocate, aka the biggest LGBT magazine right now.
“My Life as a Woman” reads the headline in block letters. “Kris panics over his big announcement,” says a smaller headline. “What he told the Kardashians,” “11 shocking photos inside,” two more say. “He’s been changing for years,” readers are told in an inset attached to older photos “documenting” plastic surgery changes.
Jezebel and The Toronto Sun report that, inside the magazine, an insider “confirms” that Bruce would be going official with his transition and that he’d be doing so with The Advocate and a “classy” and “memorable” photoshoot with himself in women’s garb.
Apparently, he doesn’t plan on wearing women’s clothes once the transition is over, but he wants to for this shoot.
“Multiple sources and insiders familiar with the situation revealed exclusively to InTouch what Bruce wants to look like when his transformation is complete, and their inside knowledge was used for our cover photo recreation,” InTouch says.
Kris is livid
As soon as the cover popped up online, it had millions of people talking: even if they’re not all fans of the Kardashians and don’t watch their show, Bruce’s alleged transition has repeatedly proved a topic of wide interest.
Some were outraged that InTouch would go this far as to Photoshop a photo of him and then run it as if it were legit (because that’s what it looks like if you don’t know what’s written in the accompanying article).
Others found the recreation a good approximation of how Bruce would look assuming he was really going through transition to female.
Kris Jenner falls, according to reports, into the former category: she’s livid. It’s not just that she’s worried about how this will affect her career, because she and the Kardashian – Jenners are so famous that they could come out unscathed even from a bigger “scandal.” She’s just furious at the Audacity of InTouch and, admittedly, she’s even considering suing.
