Bruce Jenner Is Shaving Off His Adam’s Apple Because He Doesn’t Like It

Bruce Jenner, Kris Jenner’s now estranged husband, former Olympian and current reality star thanks to E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians, is no stranger to surgery, both for medical reasons and on aesthetic considerations. Even so, his most recent decision might still surprise many of his fans.

Bruce has decided to have his Adam’s apple shaved off because, he tells TMZ, he never really liked it. In case you didn’t even know such a thing was possible (we definitely didn’t), it is, and it’s called a Laryngeal Shave.

The aforementioned celebrity publication reports spotting Bruce heading to the plastic surgeon’s office the other day to have him look at a scar he had on his nose from an earlier intervention for skin cancer. Since he was there, he also came up with the idea to do something about his Adam’s apple through the intervention, which will “smoothen” it out.

“We know this is Bruce's second visit to the office. The doctor took photographs today and sources tell us surgery has been scheduled for early next year, but Bruce insists no surgery has been set yet – it was just a consultation,” TMZ writes.

“[Jenner] says he initially went to the plastic surgeon because the basal cell carcinoma that was removed from his nose in September left a large scar that didn't heal well. He wanted plastic surgery for his nose, and says while he was there he consulted the doc on the Laryngeal Shave,” the report further mentions.

Jenner called the e-zine in person to clarify his visit to the doctor’s because, TMZ says, the “procedure is typically done on patients who are in the first stage of gender reassignment.”

He’d already told the site that he “never really liked [his] trachea” and that this was the only reason he would be having the surgery but, in reality, we assume the clarification has more to do with certain rumors about his orientation and particularly his secret love for doing drag.

Shortly after he and Kris announced their separation, several tabs ran stories according to which Kris would not give Bruce the divorce unless it was on her own terms, threatening him to reveal him as a cross-dresser who desperately wanted to be a woman, by publishing photographic evidence.
