14 DAY TRIAL // Bruce and Kris Jenner have yet to file the divorce papers even though they have been separated many months and leading separate lives. That’s because, deep down inside, Kris never gave up on the marriage completely, so hearing that Bruce is close to romancing Cher is tearing her apart.
It’s also making her very furious, insiders close to the Kardashian – Jenner clan reveal for this week’s issue of InTouch magazine.
Bruce and the legendary singer aren’t romantic just yet but they have been getting closer and closer in these past few months and, as Kris sees it, taking their friendship to the next stage is only a matter of time right now.
Ironically, one spy says, it was his marital problems that brought Bruce closer to Cher, because he needed a shoulder to cry on – and she was there to offer it to him.
“Cher has been a real confidante to Bruce about his marital problems with Kris. They’ve become even closer since Bruce has been spending more time in Malibu — where Cher lives,” says the spy.
The two have been good friends since the ‘70s but, what with Bruce’s marriage falling apart, they have been “calling and texting non-stop.” Living so close to each other, while Kris is in LA, has made the relationship flourish.
“Kris hasn’t completely given up on her marriage to Bruce yet, so she sees Cher as a threat. Kris believes that a Bruce-Cher romance is a very real possibility, and it really upsets her,” another tipster chimes in.
Whether you choose to believe the rumor that a budding romance is happening right now between Bruce and Cher or not, you have to appreciate that, at least for the time being, the glossies have moved past the “Bruce wants to be a woman so he’s transitioning” story that was all the rage a short while ago.
Right after he and Kris announced their decision to separate, which, by the way, stressed that they had no plans to divorce just yet, innuendos about his orientation and gender identity started making their way into the press and on celebrity blogs.
Some said that the real reason Kris wanted the separation was because she was sick of Bruce’s constant cross-dressing and, at the same time, dreading that word of it might get out. From that to full-blown stories of Bruce’s transitioning, made easier by his obvious love of plastic surgery, was but a step.
