Brosnan, Pierce Brosnan?

A Bond-related controversy is about to set off as the movie mogul Kevin McClory is apparently determined to bring back Pierce as the new 007 agent, thus competing with MGM that already designated younger (and somehow effeminate) actor Daniel Craig as James Bond in the latest hit from the 'James Bond' series, 'Casino Royale'.

It seems that McClory owns part of the copyright for the 1965 classic Thunderball', after which he already made a remake in the '80, called 'Never Say Never Again' starring none other than the original Bond, Sir Sean Connery. Now, rumor has it that he is set to make yet another remake of the same movie and has in view a collaboration with Irish Brosnan.

Pierce was ladies' favorite man for years when, suddenly and almost with no grounded reason, he was dumped by the producers in favor of blonde Craig. The scandal was huge, not because Brosnan was sacked, but because it was believed that Daniel will never have what it takes to be the next Bond.

Now, disappointed fans will get a chance to see Brosnan, Pierce Brosnan again, but only if he agrees to star in the rival series that McClory is said to plan start filming pretty soon.
