14 DAY TRIAL // Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen’s ex wife, was rushed to the hospital the other day after her personal assistant freaked out when she found her unresponsive and called 911, it has emerged.
TMZ reports that the woman walked into the room and found Mueller passed out cold, so she panicked and called for an ambulance, thinking only of her checkered past where drug use is concerned.
Brooke has already been to rehab about 15 times.
She was rushed to the hospital, where she was kept under observation for a while and was then discharged.
Her rep tells TMZ that assuming she’d ODed means jumping to conclusions because drugs had nothing to do with her rushed trip to the hospital: she was simply tired and dehydrated.
“An assistant thought Brooke was non-responsive while she was napping and hastily called an ambulance,” Mueller’s publicist says.
“As a precaution, Brooke was brought to a local hospital and discharged after an hour. She was diagnosed with exhaustion and dehydration and is now fine and resting at home. That's it,” he adds.
In the video below, embedded at the end of the article, Brooke explains to one of the TMZ paparazzi that drugs were not involved in her emergency trip to the hospital: the PA simply overreacted when she found her asleep.
Mueller says she’d been working on her jewelry for several nights in a row and she’d gotten so tired she simply passed out, which would explain why her assistant was having such a hard time waking her up.
However, either because of Mueller’s past or because the “exhaustion and dehydration” excuse has been used before where drugs were concerned, many still don’t believe her when she says she’s clean and did not OD.
Reports online note that not even her family is buying the explanation she and her publicist came up with, being “very worried” she might have slipped back into heavy drug use like before.
