14 DAY TRIAL // Though she denied she was back on crack despite a series of very damning pictures, Charlie Sheen’s ex wife Brooke Mueller is back in rehab. This time, though, she’s trying something different and has flown to Mexico for a more aggressive treatment.
Radar Online reports that Mueller is desperate to kick off her addiction and has agreed to go all the way to Cancun for a treatment that is illegal in the US because of the substance used to stop drug cravings.
She’s already been in rehab at least 15 times (as per online reports) and, every time she comes out, she doesn’t last without drugs for more than a few months in a row.
As such, she’s dying to undergo a treatment that will help her fight off cravings for longer periods of time, so that she can get her life back on track.
“Mueller has decided to proceed with an addiction program that isn’t legal in the US. Mueller will be taking ibogaine, which is supposed to stop cravings for drugs,” Radar writes.
She left for Cancun on Monday morning, in the company of her personal physician, who will oversee whatever treatment she receives abroad.
“Many US medical experts concur about the dangers associated with ibogaine and the hallucinogen is classified as a Controlled Substance in the US. Ibogaine is approved in other countries, however, including Mexico, Canada, and elsewhere for the treatment of drug addicts,” the report further notes.
A rep for Mueller was not immediately available for comment, but a source close to her tells the publication that, this time, she was really determined to make it work and kick addiction.
“Brooke is absolutely desperate. She wants to be sober, and she thinks that this could be just the thing that will do it. Brooke is aware of the dangers of ibogaine, but she is going to proceed anyway,” the spy explains.
Some days ago, Mueller was photographed with what looked like a homemade crack pipe in her hand, after a presumed night / weekend of non-stop partying, prompting rumors that she had relapsed again.
