14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this month, Brooke Mueller was admitted to rehab again, this time against her will. Fresh details suggest very troubling behavior in the hours leading up to the intervention, including her boasting of having connections with the Mafia.
Brooke is Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife and the mother of his twins, who are 4 years old. The kids are now in the care of the actor’s other ex, Denise Richards, who also has two kids with him.
She has a history of drug abuse, having most recently entered rehab for Adderall in December. It seems her demons have come back to haunt her.
Before being admitted again this month, she was put on involuntary hold for a psychiatric evaluation, TMZ reports.
“On May 1st, a man who was at Brooke's LA home called 911 to report she had assaulted him. When cops arrived, […] Brooke was rambling about what she claimed were connections to the mafia,” the celebrity publication writes, citing unnamed sources close to the situation.
“Sources say she told cops she had been in constant contact with the FBI for months about Charlie Sheen, saying she was giving them a ton of info that would ‘bring him down’,” adds the report.
The police officers said that Brooke looked as if she was under the influence and hadn’t slept in days. To make matters even worse, the twins were at home with her while all this was happening.
“Police then called the LA County Dept. of Children and Family Services, which had an open case with Brooke. There was alarm by officials from both departments and we're told steps were immediately taken to 5150 Brooke – place her on a 3-day psychiatric hold,” adds the report.
From there, Brook was taken to rehab.
A couple of days after this happened, Charlie and Denise were in court to tell a judge to grant them both temporary custody of Brooke’s twins, with reports saying that they presented him with solid evidence that, at least for the time being, she was not able to be a good mother to her own kids.
TMZ writes that Brooke’s odd behavior before rehab might have also been prompted by her misuse of Adderall.
