Has her as a drawn tanned angel with white hair and amazing biceps

As Hulk Hogan and now-estranged wife continue to bitterly exchange words via the media, Brooke Hogan is gearing up for the release of her second album, called “The Redemption.” With a release date set for July 2009, the upcoming material has already been taken one step nearer to completion with the unveiling of the artwork on Brooke’s official website.

Given that this album seems to have a rather religious vibe to it – and not necessarily in the sense that it will deal with such themes – Brooke’s management decided to go with a similar idea for the artwork as well. The result is a seemingly hand-drawn, orange tanned, absent minded and mighty muscular angel Brooke, staring towards the skies, while one hand is in her hair and the other resting on her hip, as most fans describe it on music dedicated forums.

The artwork as it is – if Brooke really plans to go forward with this and release it as such – is nothing short of ridiculous, it is being said in various online communities. Not even the recession excuse can explain this – or why Brooke would let a four-year-old draw a picture of her and then willingly agree to use it. Terms like “trashy,” “horrendous,” “hilarious” and “tacky” are also being used in reference to the image included here as well.

Amidst the intense backlash, Brooke’s fans are almost silenced; yet the few that can speak, say that the aspiring pop star was very ill advised when choosing the cover for her second album. eltedioso, for one, says on Idolator that there are simply too many things wrong with the picture and Brooke should just change it altogether.

“Wow. There’s just so much to take in here. Who decided to have her flex her giant left biceps? Who drew that face? Something about the eyes isn’t right. Why is her hair white? I guess it goes with the angel motif. And what’s with that, anyway? I guess The Redemption is supposed to evoke some sort of religious imagery. Bad call on everyone’s part. Brooke is a beautiful girl who may or may not have a bit of performance talent. Problem is, they keep packaging her as something she can’t successfully be.” the fan writes on the aforementioned site. Sadly, his sentiments are echoed by many others.

As of now, Brooke Hogan has not responded in any way to the criticism directed at the artwork for her upcoming album. However, sources in the industry say she’s unlikely to change anything about it, now that the release date is so near. Should she decide to do so, though, rest assured, you’ll find out about it here.
