Broken Sword 5 – The Serpent’s Curse Episode One, a point and click adventure developed by Charles Cecil and Revolution Software, is now available on Steam for Linux with a 50% discount.

It's been a long time since the last Broken Sword game, and today we get to see a new release in this iconic franchise.

The developers from Revolution Software have brought together many of the original members from the Broken Sword team, in an effort to capture the fascination of the old titles in the series.

“From multi-award winning Revolution Software comes the latest explosive episode in this classic series. Playing as intrepid American George Stobbart and sassy French journalist Nico Collard, you find yourself on the trail of a stolen painting – and a murderous conspiracy. A conspiracy whose roots lie in mysteries older than the written word...” reads the official Steam website.

The Linux system requirements are also quite acceptable and should allow almost anyone play the game: a 1.6 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, a video card with 256 MB, and 3 GB of available space.

Broken Sword 5 – The Serpent's Curse also benefits from a generous discount on Steam for Linux that will end in just a little under two days.
