Broken Age developer Double Fine promised fans a big announcement during the VGX award show later tonight. The promise came bundled with a short video revealing some of the cast members selected to voice the game’s characters.

"We have one more big announcement coming on the VGX, alongside a live demo of the game," the developer stated, as quoted by CVG.

Double Fine also announced that Curtis the Lumberjack, a crowd favorite, would benefit from the voice of former Star Trek actor Wil Wheaton.

Broken Age is an upcoming point-and-click adventure led by famous designer Tim Schafer, best known for his involvement with acclaimed title Grim Fandango.

The story is based around two characters seeking to take control of their destinies, a boy living on a spaceship and a girl that has been chosen by her tribe as a sacrifice.

The game will employ the modern approach of context-sensitive actions, as opposed to the classical approach of using a verb list interface.
