Intel manages to provide the new chips on time and without delays

This holiday season we’re going to have an interesting new option to look into, in terms of electronics. Intel has made it official that Intel Broadwell processors will arrive on the market before the kick start of the 2014 shopping spree.

Most importantly, Intel’s CEO Brain Krzanich states that Intel Broadwell PCs, which in translation means tablets and laptops, won’t make it in time for the back-to-school period (via Reuters).

Nevertheless, Krzanich vouches that products running on Broadwell architecture will make it into retail just in time for the busy Holiday season.

Basically, we can expect to see the first Broadwell laptops, and hopefully some tablet models, arrive starting late August/September/late November.

The company official has also taken the opportunity to dismiss rumors saying that Broadwell CPUs will be postponed for early 2015. So, the news seems to be good, and Intel is going to keep things according to schedule.

Broadwell isn't exactly an all-new processor architecture. Actually, it’s just Haswell made a bit smaller; the new chips are produced using 14-nanometer technology, whereas Haswell relies on 22nm parts.

Keeping this in mind, performance increasing shouldn't be really noticeable, but what users will be gaining comes in another form. Broadwell PCs will boast great power efficiency and longer battery lives, which is basically what every user wants when it comes to mobile devices.
