Springdoo, a London-based company that provides audio and video communication tools for social networks, announced it is now offering a new service that allows mobile users to easily broadcast video captured with their phone's camera to the Web via 3G
networks.

The SpringMobile service requires no software downloads, instead users simply need to make a video call to 88388 from their 3G mobile phone, record up to 5 minutes of video and then simply hang up the phone. The created videoclip then appears in the user's Springdoo account, from where it can be sent via email to friends or added to a video blog created with Springdoo's SpringBlog tool. Furthermore, if the user has embedded Springdoo's SpringCast Widget on his favorite social networking site or blog, then all the videos recorded using the SpringMobile service can be updated to the widget.

"Springdoo has extended the webcam beyond the desktop. Now users can create video content wherever they are inspired and upload it to their chosen Internet site," said Adam Freeman, COO of Springdoo. "With the SpringMobile product Springdoo makes creating and distributing video over the Internet simple. We are pleased to introduce this unique product which will further enhance our users' experience by allowing them to push a video recording from their mobile directly onto the Internet."

To use the video broadcasting service, users need to register at Springdoo's website, available here. Following the registration, users gain access for free to all of Springdoo's services, which, besides SpringMobile, include SpringMail - an easy to use video email service, SpringCast - which allows users to add videos to their website and SpringBlog - an easy to use video blogging service. The registration also offers Springdoo's users 250 MB of storage space, which can be used for uploading MP3, WAV, MPG, MPEG, AVI, WMV, FLV files and unlimited SpringMails, SpringBlogs and SpringCasts.
