It also includes wireless, noise-canceling and ear-clip models

Panasonic could have released a single set of headphones, or revealed its new range of audio products one by one, but it decided to launch its entire new range all at once, even though it risks limiting the attention that the RP-BTGS10 headset is likely to get.

The reason that the RP-BTGS10 is a big deal is that the headset uses bone conduction technology to deliver sound.

The full product name is RP-BTGS10 Open Ear Wireless Bone Conduction Headphones because it doesn't actually use the ears.

Instead, it transmits sound through your bones, leaving your ears free for whatever else you want to use them.

So you could, say, listen to music through the RP-BTGS10 (which sit directly in front of a user's ear canal), but also have an ear bud through which you're holding a call with someone else (if you're into multi-device use all the time anyhow).

Or you could just use the RP-BTGS10 for everything without destroying your awareness of the surroundings. After all, the headset does possess a bone conduction microphone too.

Furthermore, the headphones use wireless transmission technology (Bluetooth) to connect to whatever phone, tablet or PC you're using. So you could say that the RP-BTGS10 Open Ear Wireless Bone Conduction Headphones are good for everything from jogging to office work.

They are also quite suited to the elderly, who normally have trouble hearing the TV or whatever else without turning up the volume.

A final benefit of the bone conduction headphones is their drip-proof quality, brought about by the absence of air holes in the earphone. Panasonic wants $199.99 / €199.99 for them.

A second audio device is the Panasonic RP-HC800 Noise Canceling Headphones, which use improved Feedback Noise Canceling Technology. They're made specifically for those who want to be free of all distractions, and are priced at $229.99 / €299.99.

There's also the Panasonic RP-BTD10 Bluetooth Wireless headsets, with Bluetooth and NFC pairing (Near Field Communication). They sell for $199.99 / €199.99.

Finally, Panasonic has launched the RP-HS34 Sport Clip Headphones, with adjustable hanger size and water/sweat resistance. This is, by far, the cheapest product, bearing a tag of $19.99 / €19.99. It's also the most colorful, available in red, purple, blue, white and black. We suppose you could say that the RP-HD34 is the best suited for joggers and other athletes, even more so than the RP-BTGS10 bone conduction set of headphones.
