Brittany Murphy's death came as a shock in Hollywood, as the young actress was just 32 when she passed away in December 2009. Today, her tragic death is again mentioned in the news because of the release of her final acting role in the drama “Something Wicked.”

The film will finally see the light of day after several delays that have pushed back the release date a stunning four years after the actress' passing of pneumonia. The Daily Mail reports that the “Something Wicked” is going to debut on April 4 in Eugene, Oregon.

The plot of the film revolves around a young couple who run into trouble when some secrets from their past catch up with them. The film's writer and producer Joe Colleran claims that upon reviewing the scenes, he's convinced that Murphy gave a “very chilling” and “very emotional” performance.

He now feels that he has additional responsibility to do justice to the late actress’ legacy when premiering the film since it's her last ever performance on screen.

Apart from starring in “Something Wicked,” Brittany Murphy has also appeared in several other big budget productions, such as the rap drama “8 Mile” where she appeared opposite Eminem, the romantic comedy “Just Married” opposite Ashton Kutcher or in the noire thriller “Sin City.”
