Britney Spears was spotted at the swish Petit Tresor store in Los Angeles buying baby clothes, all from the girls department. "I don't think they were a present for someone else," a source told the mag. "She was buying a lot."

The store confirmed that the singer had paid them a visit but wouldn't speculate further on what she had bought.

"She was very private and we respect that," a spokesperson said. Britney is expected to give birth in October.

Recently, she received an engagement ring, from her husband Kevin, nine months later after the weeding. Spears had to buy her own diamond ring back then, because Kevin was reportedly short of cash

A source told America's People magazine: "I think it was because he wanted to buy her the diamond ring himself. "She's having a platinum band with a round, single diamond set in a classic style."
