Despite earlier reports claiming pop star Britney Spears was dying to have the conservatorship over her person and finances terminated, TMZ has learned it will actually remain in place at least for 2011.

Spears is under two conservatorships, the e-zine also notes: one over her person and another one over her finances and businesses. They were set up in February 2008.

Both of them deprive her of the ability of making any important calls, the power of decision being transferred onto her father Jamie, who thus managed to save her and her career.

TMZ now reports that Britney is the last person to want to see the conservatorship terminated, regardless of what rumors might say. She’s better than ever, so why end it, says the e-zine.

“Britney Spears will ring in the new year under her long-standing conservatorship, sources tell TMZ. We’re told there are no plans to end the conservatorship, which was created in February 2008,” TMZ reports.

“We’re told she’s ‘content’ with the current arrangement and is no longer antsy to end it. Britney is actually under two conservatorships – one to care for her, and another to take care of her business affairs,” says the same e-zine.

“As for the latter, it will probably remain in place for a long time, because Britney Spears, Inc. has never run more smoothly,” TMZ notes.

Indeed, not only has Britney managed to make a brilliant comeback, with a best-selling album and sold-out international tour, but every other branch of the Spears empire has flourished since Jamie took the reins.

Reports once said that Britney wanted at least the personal conservatorship ended because she felt she was now well enough to be able to make certain decisions on her own, like, for instance, the company she keeps.

Not quite so, TMZ states. “We’re told no one involved – Britney included – wants to end it,” the celebrity gossip website / paparazzi agency has learned from very reliable inside sources.
