If any of us still had any doubts about it, it's time we let go and embrace the madness: Britney Spears is not planning to retire anytime soon - on the contrary, the singer is set to turn her own breakdown into a reality circus, complete with "explosive revelations" about her life and the people in it. Apparently, over the past six months, the popwreck has been keeping video diaries documenting her depression, her own private thoughts and states of mind. Now, Britney is reportedly planning to release those diaries either via Internet or via MTV, for a yet to be revealed purpose. Because nothing speaks better about your sanity than exposing something intensely private to the world at large, something that was recorded during times of frustration, pain, maybe even drug withdrawal and aimed for your eyes alone.

The funniest part - funny in a tragic sort of way - is the fact that Britney is now said to be "threatening" to release her diaries. Not "planning" or "thinking about", but "threatening" - and the reason for that is that the diaries in question reveal some never-before-seen-or-heard information about Britney's ex lovers. "Britney's video diaries are the talk of the Tinseltown elite," reveals British tabloid The Mirror. "Her high-profile friends and exes - including Justin - knew what she was up to but assumed she was filming herself as a form of therapy. If she does decide to go public with the footage, it'll be explosive". However, all this sounds and smells like a huge publicity stunt, particularly because - given Spears' troubled, occasionally intoxicated state of mind at the time when the recordings in question were made - her "revelations" may simply turn out to be drug-fueled rants with no basis in fact, which no one will take seriously.

"Although some of it is really sad to watch - especially the parts where she's close to breakdown - others are dynamite. Not surprisingly both JT and Kevin Federline are terrified the material will end up all over the net. Or, even worse, Britney will agree to another MTV documentary, and release some of the footage through official channels," the same source quoted by the Mirror adds. However, Britney may have a hard time achieving credibility, and far from being taken seriously, her video revelations may end up turning her into Hollywood's laughing stock - again.
