In preparation for her world tour in 2009

Once much ridiculed for her “fake weave,” as the tabloids called her hairdo, as well as for her off-moment of almost two years ago when she closely shaved her head as the paparazzi cameras were rolling, Britney Spears is reportedly thinking of putting her name on a new line of hair extensions. In doing so, not only would the now restored Princess of Pop add yet another title to her belt, but she would also join the likes of Paris Hilton, who has been much quicker in releasing fake hair with her own name to it.

The National Enquirer, cited by omnipresent around Britney paparazzi agency X17, claims to have it from reliable inside sources that Spears has come to the decision after realizing that all these years in the spotlight have made her a genuine master in the art of taking care of extensions. She has, the Enquirer vouches, “become an expert on weaves, wigs and extensions,” which is why she’s now planning to “launch her own product line.”

“There was a time when Britney dreaded having to wear a wig or extensions whenever she went out in public, but now she’s gotten hooked on them because they’re so much easier than dealing with cuts, coloring and styling,” the Enquirer further explains, citing the same inside sources. Other than the practicality of hair extensions, the new line is also supposed to help the pop star make a stand in the industry, as she’s “eager to prove she's a shrewd businesswoman.”

Coincidentally or not, Spears’ upcoming business endeavor is supposed to materialize in March 2009, when her world tour also reportedly kicks off. The pop star’s latest album, “Circus,” although recorded and completed in almost total secrecy (a very unlike-Britney move), has enjoyed great success, being labeled the comeback both she and her fans truly deserved, while taking the number one spot in US and international album charts.
