Now that their lives are back on the right track and they’re both happy in love, Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears have decided to tie the knot on the same day in what will undoubtedly be the “ceremony of the century.”

It started off as a joke at first, the latest print issue of OK! Magazine says (story via here). The more the two sisters talked, though, the more they realized they really wanted to make this happen.

Britney is with her former manager, Jason Trawick, for a little over a year, as her fans must know. In her turn, Jamie Lynn is now back with Casey Aldridge, the father of her baby.

Therefore, the timing is perfect, especially when considering that both men too are said to be eager to tie the knot. Moreover, they are also thrilled about the idea of having a joint ceremony.

Britney also sees such an opportunity as an incredibly smart career move for her, especially now that she’s again getting very positive media – and she wants more of that.

“They were trying to top each other with crazy things they could do – like arrive in a horse-drawn carriage. Their kids… would be ring bearers and the flower girl… Britney even suggested she and Jamie Lynn walk each other down the aisle…” an unnamed source tells OK!

“It’s to show how close she and Jamie Lynn are, and how much they are there for each other. A lot of it is crazy stuff, but Britney is also just crazy enough to put the plans in motion,” the spy further explains of the Spears’ marriage plans.

The insider goes on to point out that Jason too is involved in this, having already taken part in the discussions. In fact, he and Brit are just on the verge of announcing their engagement.

“Jason said it would be bigger than a royal wedding, and Britney’s eyes lit up. She loves the idea of being back on top, being respected and in the media for positive reasons,” the tipster explains.

“A Spears-girls double wedding would be a huge attention-getter. The media would be all over it. She’d probably sell the rights for millions and split it with Jamie. It could be very profitable for both of them…” dishes the spy.

Right now, though, Britney and Jason are holidaying in Hawaii and while they do look very much in love, planning a wedding seems like the last thing on their mind.
