14 DAY TRIAL // While everyone was out trick or treating on Halloween, Fox kicked off the live shows of X Factor USA, now on its second season, which, as fans must know, brings a lot of changes.
One of them is Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez’s audition as co-hosts, which has already gotten mixed reviews because of Khloe’s little wardrobe mishap.
Another was the addition of Britney Spears to the judges panel, mostly because many thought she would not be able to cope with the pressure of a live show of this magnitude.
Some reviewers note that she was “cooly composed” but the Daily Mail says a possible explanation for that was the fact that she wore earplugs all the time.
This would also explain why she said “amazing” “like three billion times,” as EW’s TV Recaps puts it.
“The 30-year-old pop star wore the plugs throughout the whole show, during which she also displayed her somewhat lackluster and vanilla-style judging abilities,” the Mail writes, asking out loud how much of the performances she could really have heard with the plugs.
