Her body may be banging in real life as well, but something’s off about the face: it’s been retouched beyond recognition

Britney Spears boasted about her brand new Women’s Health cover on Instagram but it wasn’t until the magazine came out at newsstands that fans really started speculating about the amount of Photoshop work that went into her spread. She looks like an entirely different woman, more like Heidi Klum than Britney Spears, they said.

The full spread is available in the gallery below, so you can see for yourself if they’re right or not.

However, if you have any doubts that this is really Britney’s body on the cover, doubt no more: she really is in that amazing shape, as the video available at the end of the article will confirm.

Britney’s figure really is as insanely fit as on the cover

Coming to meet comments like “oh, that isn’t Britney’s body” and “she’s been Photoshopped into oblivion” is the behind the scenes video from the magazine, in which Britney is shown rocking some of the outfits you will also recognize in the final spread.

The one from the cover is also included and you can see that, indeed, Britney does have a teeny tiny waistline these days and more muscle definition than we’ve seen on her in years. Sure, the lighting and some of the colors have been altered later, but not much was done to Britney’s figure, at least not in this particular shot.

Not the same can be said about the face, because this is where someone really went at it: cover Britney hardly looks like the Britney in the video below, and it can’t be because of the professional makeup, because she already has it on in the clip.

Women’s Health should have probably learned from the same mistake other magazines made when they retouched the pop star beyond recognition – and they had to deal then with her loyal and unforgiving fans. Moderation is key to everything, including Photoshop.

Britney says she’s healthier, more active than ever

For years in a row, Britney Spears was the unofficial “spokesperson” of Starbucks and junk food, in the sense that she was photographed daily heading for the former and weekly for the latter.

She’s not doing that anymore, mostly because she has to eat healthy to keep her energy levels up and be able to perform several times a week as part of her ongoing Las Vegas residency. These days, Britney is more into sushi and fruit, and indulges in less caloric treats than frappuccino, like sweet tea.

Speaking with the mag, Britney admits that she doesn’t have the same body she had when she was just coming up in the industry, as was to be expected: she is, after all, the mother of 2 gorgeous boys. Still, she’s determined to work hard to stay healthy and in shape, and is grateful she can afford trainers who know just which buttons to push to keep her motivated.

“Daily exercise is important for me both mentally and physically. I don’t mind working out. Trainers keep you motivated, but I didn’t have a problem being motivated,” she says. And it shows.
