Britney Spears seems to have found true love and stability in the arms of David Lucado, the former legal assistant she’s been dating for almost a year and a half. Despite recent rumors saying that the romance had fizzled out, insiders swear that they’re still together, still as in love as when they first started going out.

In fact, things have never been better. With Britney busy performing in Las Vegas as part of her sold-out residency, she and David hang out whenever they can, and when they do, they mostly talk about starting a family.

Britney’s second marriage, to Kevin Federline, ended in 2007 and turned her entire world upside down, which, for fans, translated into the most mediated and heartbreaking celebrity breakdown of all times.

In the process, Britney lost primary custody of her two sons with Kevin and was put under a conservatorship after a judge ruled she was not able to make decisions for herself, be they of a more personal nature or concerning her career. Her father is her conservator to this day.

All this hasn’t made the pop star lose her dream of expanding her family. In January this year, she admitted in an interview that she’d love to have a daughter because it would be like a “mini-me” that would make her feel less lonely in this world.

According to insiders speaking to Radar Online, she and David plan on trying for a baby as soon as she’s done with her Vegas residency.

“Britney cannot wait until the Vegas show is done because she wants to start a family with David. She says she will get pregnant as soon as the show is finished!” the insider gushes.

“David is always with her in Vegas and they act like an old married couple together. He is really good with her kids and has taken to the father role pretty easily,” adds the tipster.

The bad news is that the residency might not be over in 2015, as initially planned. Britney signed a 2-year contract with Planet Hollywood in 2013, but because the turnout has been so great and tickets are selling like hot cakes, organizers are basically throwing money at her to agree to do another year.

Rumor has it that she’s being offered $12 million (€8.9 million) for another year and that her management and father (because, let’s be serious, it’s not Britney who makes this kind of decisions!) are seriously considering accepting it.

That would mean that Britney would have to put off her baby plans until the end of 2016.
