It’s not for nothing that Forbes magazine recently listed Britney Spears among the top female earners of past year, since the singer reportedly raked in no less than $64 million in 2009. However, as fans must know, music is not all that Britney does to make a buck, as she’s literally sitting on her own little business empire.
As
Too Fab can confirm, Spears is now preparing for the launch of her ninth fragrance, which will be called Radiance. Though celebrity fragrances are a dime a dozen, and starting to lose popularity, Britney Spears is the exception that makes the rule and her signature perfumes continue to sell like hot cake. Radiance will also prove a hit most likely, judging by how hype for it is already beginning to build up.
“Britney Spears just unveiled the first ad for her ninth scent today, a perfume called Radiance. The fragrance, which she worked on once again with Elizabeth Arden, is said to be a mix of tuberose, jasmine, orange flower, wild berries and iris. The scent is scheduled to drop this September,” Too Fab writes of the new ad. In it, the singer is pictured with her back to the camera, looking over her shoulder, while looking absolutely stunning in a floor-long silver backless gown.
The predominant colors of the ad are pinks and blues, matching those on the bottle, which, in turn, match the predominant floral tones of the fragrance. “I love the feminine scent of my new perfume Radiance. It has the power to make any woman feel beautiful,” Britney was saying about the perfume earlier. “We are proud of our success with Britney in the fragrance category. The Britney Spears fragrance business is a global franchise, equally successful in the United States, as well as abroad,” Ronald Rolleston, Executive Vice President for Global Fragrance Marketing at Elizabeth Arden, added.
Before the ad got out in the media, Britney herself uploaded it on
Twitter, saying she wanted to be the first to bring it to her “tweethearts” because she was thrilled about how nicely it came about. As noted above, Radiance is out in stores this September so keep an eye out for it if the above piqued your interest.
