Britney Spears sets the record straight on alleged beatings on Twitter, announces new album release date

Britney Spears has one thing to say to her ex-husband Jason Alexander and his story of how her current beau Jason Trawick is beating her up: he can kiss her you-know-what. Also, her new album comes out in March.

A couple of days ago, Alexander went to Star magazine to say Britney herself had confided in him that Trawick would beat her up on occasions and that she had also miscarried his child earlier this year.

Within hours, Radar Online had an audio recording of a woman sounding very much unlike Britney, telling Jason of the alleged beatings. The e-zine claimed the audio was legit and that Alexander himself had provided it.

Spears’ camp has vehemently denied all abuse allegations, saying all three (Alexander, Star and Radar) had been informed that the story was fake. Now, it’s Britney’s turn to speak up – and she chooses to do so on Twitter.

As fans must know, most of Brit’s tweets come for her management but, this time, she took matters (and the keys of the keyboard) into her own hands: the story that she’s being abused is a lie.

On her birthday, yesterday, she wrote: “Ok, off on a romantic weekend with Jason for my birthday. xoxo Brit.” Minutes later, she added a little something for her ex, as well.

“PS - Star Magazine, Radar Online, Jason Alexander and the rest of you liars, Ya’ll can kiss my lily white southern Louisiana [backside]!” the pop star wrote.

Before that, though, she thought of her fans first: she thanked them for their wonderful messages and well wishes on her birthday, and offered them instead a gift on her own: an estimative release date for her next album.

As we also noted on previous occasions, while fans are dying to listen to new Spears materials, speculation about what that might happen has been running rampant. Now, we know – more or less.

“My fans mean the world to me & waking up to all of your wishes really made me smile, so here’s something that I hope will make you smile...” Britney tweeted.

“I’m almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!” she said.
