Just when you thought that Britney Spears was really and truly on her way to getting her life and career back on track, here comes some potentially contradictory news from former confidante Sam Lutfi, who claims that not all is well with the pop singer.

Britney has a lot on her plate at the moment: the release of the newest studio album “Britney Jean” and the upcoming launch of her own Vegas show at the Planet Hollywood casino. All these things keep her busy and active, but Sam Lutfi says otherwise.

Prompted by the tweet of a fan who was wondering when Spears' father would end her conservatorship, Sam Lutfi proceeded to reveal a series of messages from his telephone, which he claims are from Britney herself.

These messages paint a grim picture of someone who seems to be trapped in her life under the domination of her parents, alone, lost, and depressed. He claims these texts are older and asks the tweeter to be the judge of them.

Other messages show that Britney is afraid her parents will have her kids taken away and that she feels unloved and misunderstood by all. This series of questionable messages was immediately rebuffed by Spears' fans, who remembered that the former paparazzo had received a restraining order back in 2008 in which he was demanded to stay away from Britney and her family.

Lutfi replied to the allegations that the messages are either old, dating from Britney's now infamous meltdown, or that they are manufactured, saying that he simply wanted the truth to come out “so I can have my life back as well.”

Lutfi was for a short time Britney's right hand man during the much publicized breakdown of the pop star back in 2008. He even claimed that Britney verbally made him her manager and sued her family for libel and breach of contract. However, Britney's family managed to get a restraining order and accused him of conspiring to gain control over the Spears estate and her affairs.
