On Monday Britney Spears was counted a good deed and treated four teenage New Orleans girls for a day out. The pop babe dropped by a council meeting all from the sudden and thrilled the four lucky Louisiana school pals when she invited them out for shopping and lunch.
The girls, aged from 13 to 17, were among the victims who lost everything in Hurricane Katrina last summer. One of the girls lost her pet dog in the flood, another one has been living in a trailer ever since and so on. But the main tragedy is that all four were left homeless by the horrifying disaster.
The multi-millionaire star took them to New Orleans department store Em's to buy them new clothes and then took them for lunch at top chef Emeril Lagasse's famous city restaurant, Emeril's, which opened especially for the pop star and her invites.
"It was an honor to be here with all of them. We had so much fun and it was amazing," Britney said about her day out with the four pals. And after hanging out and having fun all day long, the diva gave them all "fleur-de-lys" pins on blue ribbons, which represent rebirth.
