Maybe the fact that Brit Brit showed off her hair-free genitalia on so many occasions was not even the worst part of the situation, some said last week. The most unbelievable part was that, at no point, did she show any signs of remorse, shame or embarrassment.

After the week of partying and flashing was over, Britney kept mum about it all, refusing to show the tiniest sign that she was in the least sorry about it. Even more, PageSix and the 'New York Post' reported yesterday that even the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services was worried about the behavior of the young mother of two.

It was said that the authority was trying to contact the singer and see how her two sons were doing, if they were neglected or not, as it was implied in the media. Well, today, it turned out that it was just a rumor without any foundation whatsoever.

But the fact still remains that Britney upset many people with her attitude, among which her fans were the first ones to voice their disappointment. At the beginning of this whole charade, they crashed her official myspace page with pleas to calm down, get a grip on herself, stop acting like a madwoman on the loose and behave like a responsible mother and the pop idol they once used to look up to.

In response (their voices have been heard at last!), Britney posted this (see below) on her renewed official website. In her statement, the former teen star claims that all that we saw in the press was a bit blown out of proportion, although she does admit that she might have taken her new found freedom a little too far. Ya think?!

However, seeing this post, the world cannot but rejoice: Britney promises us a brand new album in the future and a new her. It's good that she's back on track and her fans are already thrilled by the prospect. They can only pray that she doesn't screw it all up again. And so can we...
