Britney Spears is the cover girl for the June 2013 issue of Shape magazine and, as the photo attached to this article will confirm, she’s living up to expectations. In the accompanying interview, she also talks about her exercise routine and diet.

Wearing a fancy white swimsuit that shows off her toned tummy, Britney literally beams in the cover art.

On Twitter, she teased fans with another shot that will be included in the spread, of her in a bra and a bodycon dress, next to a punching bag, apparently ready for action.

The full interview isn’t out yet but, according to the Daily Mail, it will be unlike interviews of the kind other celebrities give.

For instance, Britney admits that she has to put in extra effort to maintain her figure now that she’s no longer 20, and isn’t shy about saying outright that she hates dieting .

“I like it, then again, I hate it. I’m in my 30s now, so I have to work harder to keep it ‘up’,” the pop star says of her workout routine.

Besides dancing, Britney also does yoga for mobility.

She’s lost some weight with Nutrisystem, but she admits that she’s having a hard time keeping it off because she’s a sucker for unhealthy treats and can’t always resist the urge to have them.

“Dieting is tough… because my specialties are spaghetti, brownies and chocolate chip cookies,” she says.

As her fans must know and thousands of paparazzi photos online can attest, Britney also loves junk food and anything Starbucks, which also add countless, mostly empty calories to one’s diet.

In fact, there was some buzz online in March this year when, hours after shooting for the Shape spread, she went out and got KFC, which prompted some to say she wasn’t exactly sending the right message to her younger fans, as we also reported at the time.
