Pop star is training hard to keep up with her Vegas routine

Britney Spears wasn’t always the healthiest eater out there, but it seems that her Las Vegas residency has managed to do away, at least partially, with her infinite love for fast food and calorie-laden Starbucks beverages.

She graces the January 2015 issue of Women’s Health, showing off her “insane abs” and talking about the routine she has no other choice but to stick to, if she wants to keep up with the Vegas residency.

Performing several nights a week, week after week, is no small feat and even if Britney doesn’t do choreography as she did before, that’s still very grueling.

One simple move for Britney’s abs, but not really

All women can get “insane abs” like Britney’s and “all it takes is one simple move,” reads a caption on the cover of the magazine, which Britney proudly posted to her Instagram. You can find the photo below and you will probably notice that there’s a lot of Photoshop in that pic; still, Britney hasn’t looked better in years.

Speaking with the magazine, Britney reveals that she actually does more than “one move” to stay in such amazing shape – and she swears by dancing as the best method to tone up.

“I start with 20 minutes of intense cardio — usually running — move on to light free weights, body-weight exercises such as pushups, squats, and situps, then finish it off with a stretch,” she says. “I like my workouts to be effective in a short amount of time.”

Eating healthier is also part of the plan

Of course, she would not have gotten these results without changing a few things about her diet as well. Britney probably still indulges in her favorite fast food and frapuccino, but most of the time, she’s all about eating right and getting the kind of nutrients she needs to have the energy for the performances.

She lists sushi and “any kind of fruit” as her favorite healthy foods, adding that she also loves sweet tea. It’s not as healthy as these two, but it’s healthier and lighter in calories than a Starbucks.

All in all, what with the healthier eating plan, the constant workouts and the rehearsals / performances, Britney has gotten back in shape, getting a lean but fit figure that’s bound to inspire at least her fans to make the switch as well.

The reinvention of Britney Spears

Despite criticism, nasty rumors, and negative reports claiming that she would never be able to pull off a Vegas residency, Britney Spears has been proving her haters wrong for many months now, delivering amazing and entertaining shows for her fans from all over the world.

Since her 2009 much-mediated breakdown, Britney has been working hard to get herself back in the saddle and her life back on track.

Sure, her engagement to Jason Trawick didn’t come to the ending we were expecting and she had her heart broken, but she’s even found a new guy she’s dating right now. She is still under conservatorship, with her father in control of everything in her life, but she seems happy, healthy, and content, at long last.
