While holidaying in Hawaii, pop star Britney Spears was rushed to hospital after stepping on a hypodermic needle. The singer got out of the car without having her shoes on, so she trod on the needle in a parking lot.

Britney was taken to the Hawaii State Hospital, as she panicked about the situation, but the tests showed the needle was unused.

"Britney is going to be fine. She's got a nasty cut but it's been disinfected and dressed and she's been released from hospital. It was more the shock of seeing the needle poking out of her foot - as you can imagine. All sorts of things race through your mind in that situation. The conclusion we would all jump to is that it was discarded by a drug user. Britney was distraught but brave," a source from the hospital told Britain's Daily Star newspaper.

It looks like the singer has got bad luck most of the time lately! Hubby Kevin seems to be unfaithful and so the diva can only find some comfort in the thought she'll bring Sean Preston a baby brother or sister.
