This is just unbelievable - out of this world - too good to be true - amazing...should we dare trust it? Should we dare get our hopes up again? Well, what the hell...but better have a stash of alcohol at hand in case it turns out to be just as big a hoax as every other good Britney news over the past...well, years. The fact is, Brit Brit seems to be struggling valiantly to make things work with her kids, and she finally consented to having those supervised visits that apparently freaked her out in the beginning. And most importantly, she took her first drug test over the weekend, and passed.
I know that shouldn't be that big a deal in itself, but as far as the complicated Brit Brit universe goes, it's a major step forward. I mean, there was actually a time when she was not on any drugs, medication OR alcohol. Apparently, sources close to Brit Brit claim that contrary to what they call "public perception", Britney has accepted the terms laid down by L.A. Court Commissioner Scott Gordon. Well, it was about time, too - but what's that cliché again? Better late than never?
We're also told Britney has seen her boys on three occasions already, and that famous parenting coach (by the way, her name is Lisa Hacker in case you care) has been present, helping and offering advice. She has visitation from morning till early evening, and apparently someone (her mother probably) has finally convinced her that not allowing the parenting coach into her house was not such a brilliant idea after all.
That's right - remember last week when Brit was supposed to have her kids over for the first time since K-Fed got primary physical custody? Well, the "waiting at the gate for 40 minutes" episode which was attributed at the time to a faulty buzzer turned out to have been just what everybody had suspected - another Britney tantrum. Apparently, Britney resented so much the idea of having someone tell her how to handle her kids, that she stupidly chose not to see anyone - not even her kids if it meant bringing the coach along too. Well, thankfully, that's all over and Brit's finally doing what the judge told her to do. I just don't understand why following the law always has to be such a drama with her, really.
