Pop princess Britney Spears and her husband, dancer Kevin Federline announced on Britney's official website the birth of their baby boy.

The happy couple sent a message to their fans, saying they are ecstatic about the birth of their first child and thanking them for their support.

The website shows Britney and Kevin kissing, surrounded by blue balloons, and below, written in blue, "It's a boy!"

Spears writes, "We are ecstatic to announce the birth of our son! Everyone is happy, healthy and doing wonderful. Thank you for all your love and well wishes!!"

Two days ago, Britney, 26, gave birth to a baby boy at California's Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, by Caesarean section to avoid the pain of a natural birth.
