Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea have been teasing fans with a new collaboration for weeks now, and the time has finally come for us to take a listen at what they’ve been working on. The duet is called “Pretty Girls” and will get an official music video later this week.

First things first though: Iggy once said that she started working on the song on her own, then she got the idea of getting Britney as a featuring artist. They met and hit it off instantly, and they got to work immediately.

As the time passed and they spent more time in the studio, the collaboration grew from a featuring act into a genuine duet, the Australian rapper says. That means that they’re both credited equally and have equal implication on the track.

A video for “Pretty Girls” was shot in Los Angeles last month, and from on-set paparazzi shots, we already know that it will be ‘80s-themed and will featured a lot of dancers and fabulous outfits.

As for the song, it’s typical summer release fare. It’s heavy on Autotune, but it’s got a very catchy beat that gives it that earworm quality every good summer anthem needs.

Here it is.
