Britney Spears is riding the wave: after a very successful album and sold-out tour, she’s become judge on X Factor thanks to what is described as one of the most lucrative deals in TV. While her career is flourishing, her personal life seems to be taking second place. A new report in the latest print issue of The National Enquirer (story via
CB) claims that Britney has been neglecting her boys because of her new business commitments.
She hasn’t seen her two sons since July this year because she’s either on the road with X Factor or choosing to spend time instead with her fiancé Jason Trawick, turning down visits.
Fans must already know that, after her divorce from Kevin Federline and her hospitalization on mental issues, which translated into a conservatorship that stands to this day, Britney lost custody of the kids, whom she can see only on appointed hours and days.
She’s been turning down visits because she’s too busy, says the report.
“It’s as if she’s tired of being a mom because she’s so caught up in her newfound TV stardom. She’s losing touch with those kids,” an insider tells the tab.
“Britney has been turning down her scheduled visits. She says she’s too tired or too stressed. It’s shameful!” the spy goes on to say.
They don’t even mention how Kevin might feel about that.
The report goes on to say that, to compensate for Britney’s absence, Jason, her fiancé, has been getting Lynne, Britney’s mother, to spend more time with the kids.
It’s not the same thing but it’s better than nothing.
“The boys had hoped to see her before they started school, but that didn’t happen. Instead, Jason arranged for Britney’s mom, Lynne, to take them to the beach for the day,” the spy explains.
“These days, Britney’s kids are more comfortable being around their Grandma Lynne than they are with Britney, Lynne has taken on the role of mommy for the boys. Britney likes her new life with Jason. She seems to be forgetting what’s really important,” adds the same source.
