14 DAY TRIAL // Britney Spears has just announced a 2-year Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood, that kicks off on December 27. Above is the interview she gave GMA after she landed with a private helicopter.
“Britney: Piece of Me” is timed to nearly coincide with the release of her new album, which drops on December 3 but is yet to get an official title.
In the video above, Britney comes across as nervous and slightly uncomfortable, which would be understandable considering she was welcomed on the scene by tens of fans, many of them dressed up in her most famous schoolgirl getup.
The second video embedded here is of a pre-recorded chat, also with Sam Champion, in which a more at ease Britney talks about the Vegas number, her album, and her kids.
“I am going to have to put my new material in it to keep it fresh. I'm definitely ready,” she says.
Apparently, one of the songs included on the album is about the breakup from Jason Trawick.
I love me some Britney and I think she’s still a great performer. However, I couldn’t help giggling when Sam asked her if her voice was ready: Britney rarely – if ever – sings live.
