Britney Spears is no longer working with her longtime personal trainer, it has emerged. The pop star and Derek DeGrazio have parted ways after she became convinced that he was restricting her diet too much.

Britney's battle with weight has been well documented on blogs and the tabloids, especially since she can't seem to be able to live without Starbucks beverages or fast food.

DeGrazio is believed to have helped her curb her cravings by putting her on a strict diet, while also imposing a very rigorous workout routine.

He's now out of the picture, says a report cited by CelebSlam.

“Britney Spears’ infamous trainer Derek DeGrazio has gotten the boot for restricting her diet too much,” the report reads.

An unnamed source confirms the collaboration is over: it ended on good terms but not without some hard feelings on Britney's part.

“It was amicable. Britney, 30, doesn’t want to worry about every single thing that goes into her mouth anymore,” the spy says.

Being with Jason Trawick in a stable, longterm relationship has helped her improve her self-esteem and she now feels there's no longer any need for her to be on such a strict diet.

“She knows Jason loves her no matter what and he has encouraged her not to stress about it. But Derek felt Britney made him look bad when she cheated on her diet,” the insider adds.

Ironically enough, it's just a short while ago that Spears listed getting up in the morning to work out as her biggest challenge ever.

At the time, she'd been on a break from working out for 2 weeks and was saying out loud that she wasn't that much of a fan of a good, sweaty workout.

However, she did say she believed it necessary, especially given that her biggest passion was “definitely chocolate,” as we also informed you at the time.
