14 DAY TRIAL // If you were planning on heading to Las Vegas this weekend to catch one of Britney Spears’ shows at Planet Hollywood, part of her successful Piece of Me residency, you’re fresh out of luck.
The pop star injured herself on stage the other night, when a kick included in the choreography sent her down on stage with a sprained ankle. She initially thought she could be able to keep performing as scheduled, but as it turns out, the injury is more serious than estimated at first sight.
You can see the video of her on-stage accident below. To her credit, she carried on with the song and even launched into the next, while aided up by her dancers and making an effort to put all her weight on her good ankle.
Her first tweet after the mishap thanked the fans for their concern and promised she was ok. A later one, as you can see below, revealed that she actually had to cancel 2 dates, which she may or may not reschedule, depending on how everything pans out.
Britney’s most recent tweet also includes a photo in which she’s seen showing off her new “boot.” Clearly, the ankle injury is way more serious than she thought at first.
