Britney Spears Denies Being Jealous Over Jessica Simpson

Singer Britney Spears denied being jealous over Jessica Simpson for steeling her part in "The Dukes of Hazzard". Spears, 24, was supposed to play Daisy Duke in the movie, but, at the end, the role was given to Jessica.

Britney declared she's not angry for not playing in the film after all, because she was fated to be pregnant this year and so the part would have been incompatible with promotion duties.

Britney told WENN: "Yeah (I was offered the role). Ashton Kutcher was supposed to be in it too. But things change and happen for a reason. That wasn't my time. I'm supposed to be pregnant now.

"And I'm proud of Jessica - she's doing really well."
