Britney Spears Credits Her Father with Saving Her Life, Wants to Remarry

Reports of more than a year ago had it that Britney Spears was sick and tired of having dad Jamie dictate everything in her life. Just recently, she’s had a change of heart, realizing she would probably be dead had it not been for his life-saving intervention.

There’s no denying that Britney has come a long way from her head-shaving, paparazzi-umbrella-bashing and erratic-behaving days.

Not only has she made a full comeback, but she’s also been on two major international tours and, with it, cemented her status as the Princess of Pop.

On a personal level too, Britney reaped only benefits from having Jamie as conservator, since he removed all negative influences from her life, allowing her and former manager Jason Trawick to become romantically involved.

Today, Britney is happy she had her father Jamie to step in and take control over her life, thus saving her from certain death, a source close to the pop star says for Radar Online.

“Britney now recognizes that if her father hadn’t stepped in and taken the action that he had, well…. Britney is now crediting Jamie for saving her life,” says the spy.

It’s just now that she’s in a position to appreciate the world of good Jamie’s intervention did for her, both professionally and personally.

“Britney is on top of the world right now. She is getting ready for the next leg of her world tour, which will be on September 22 in Moscow. Her father will be with her for some of the European performances, along with her mom,” says the same insider.

“Britney’s relationship with her dad is in a very, very good place now. She was extremely emotional backstage before leaving for the VMAs and kept telling her daddy how much she loves him,” adds the spy.

Britney and Jason were at the MTV Video Music Awards 2011 over the weekend, where she picked up two Moonmen and was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, as we also informed you yesterday.

Speaking of Jason, another spy tells Radar that he might propose to her next year, once a judge rules that she no longer needs her father as conservator.

“Jason is very, very serious about Britney. Jason has made it known that he wants to marry Britney. It’s just a matter of timing of the engagement – and if the conservatorship is lifted off Britney personally, well, it makes it a lot easier for Jason to propose,” says the insider.
