Britney Spears Confirms She’s Out of X Factor US

Britney Spears won’t return as judge on X Factor for another season, the star herself confirms in a statement to People magazine.

Though the decision wasn’t an easy one, it was the only possible one considering that she’s started working on a new album and she wants to give it her best.

“I've made the very difficult decision not to return for another season. I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio,” Britney says.

“Watching [the contestants] all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most,” she adds.

Hate to be the one to do this, but… I told you so!

Rumors about Britney leaving the show have been around for many weeks, and it was likely they were at least partially true.
