They say the third time is a charm: Britney Spears is about to tie the knot once more, this time to longtime manager and boyfriend Jason Trawick. He's just popped the question to her in Las Vegas, over a romantic dinner.
Just a few hours ago, word got out online that Jason had big plans for their Las Vegas weekend and that they included presenting Britney with an engagement ring – and, of course, a proposal to go with it.
Reports in the glossies said that the proposal wouldn't exactly be a surprise, since Britney already knew of Jason's plans.
The dinner was rather serving the purpose of making the engagement official, it was further said.
Britney is now confirming the happy news on
Twitter, even though she hints it was a surprise: she's engaged and she's literally over the moon about it.
“OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo,” the pop star gushes.
Hours later, she's still in the same ecstatic state of mind.
“Still glowing! About to jump on a plane to Planet Hollywood in Vegas. Throwing a Bday Party for Jason at Chateau Night Club. So fun. Xxoo,” Britney adds.
However, the proposal couldn't have come as a total surprise since word of it got out in the tabloids starting early December.
As we
also reported at the time, Jason had already picked out a ring and had made up his mind to propose by the end of the year.
Britney knew about it because she and Jason had long been talking about tying the knot and settling down as a family.
For the time being, no wedding date has been announced. However, it is believed Britney will unveil her engagement ring on Twitter – so make sure you keep an eye on this space for when that happens.
