14 DAY TRIAL // Britney Spears was supposed to marry fiancé Jason Trawick next month but, according to a new report, they might never walk down the aisle. The wedding has been postponed, but sources close to the star believe it will never take place.
The two were engaged almost one year ago, when Jason surprised Britney with a gorgeous diamond ring for her hand in marriage during a romantic trip to Las Vegas.
They never publicly announced a wedding date but word online had it that they were making plans to tie the knot this December in a gorgeous and very intimate family ceremony.
Radar Online claims to have it on solid authority that it’s not going to happen. The two have been telling friends that the wedding has been postponed, but chances are it’s been called off for good: Britney and Jason simply did not get along anymore.
The spark had gone out of their romance and they would never stop fighting, an insider claiming to be well in the know says for the celebrity e-zine.
“They are telling their friends it's being postponed, but they will probably never make it down the aisle. Britney doesn't think Jason is any fun and resents him because he acts more like a second father than a romantic partner, or equal,” the spy says.
Admittedly, the two have been having problems for quite some time, so it’s not like the announcement really surprised anyone – except for her parents perhaps.
“Britney and Jason have been sleeping in separate bedrooms for a very long time. She has been staying in a hotel during the week because of the live X Factor shows, and although Jason stays at the same hotel, he is in a room adjacent to hers,” the insider says.
“Jason feels like he is Britney's babysitter and it's pretty much just a business arrangement at this point. Jason does love Britney and the boys, but he just can't see himself spending the rest of his life with her,” the tipster explains.
Britney too no longer felt as if her relationship with Jason was working, adds the spy. Her parents, on the other hand, are completely heartbroken.
