While exes Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel insist their recent breakup is amicable, Britney Spears seems to believe that she may have played a part in it – because Justin still has feelings for her, claims a new report.
File this under “some things never get old.”
As fans must know, Justin and Britney dated way back, when they were still teen pop idols and could claim they did not have relations.
After they ended their romance, there was a lot of speculation as to what may have led to the split, as well as on who was the first to say it was time to call it a day.
A new report in
Showbiz Spy suggests that it was Britney, because Justin still has feelings for her. Admittedly, all the while he’s been dating Biel he’s been trying to recapture the magic he once had with Spears.
When he realized it wasn’t going to happen, he ended the 4-year relationship, making Britney feel a bit “responsible” for it.
“Britney thinks Justin has never got over her even though she has moved on from the girl she was back then,” a source close to Britney says for the aforementioned e-zine.
“She still has feelings for him of course but she wonders if Justin has issues trying to recapture what they once had together,” adds the spy.
At the same time, other reports suggest that Mila Kunis, who starred with Justin in “Friends with Benefits,” was somehow involved in the breakup, in that Justin has taken quite a fancy to her and finally dumped Jessica so that he could pursue her.
As we
also noted earlier today, sources close to Biel are telling the US media that this is not the case, there was no third-party involved. Moreover, Justin and Jessica remain good friends.
“Mila had nothing to do with their break-up. In fact, no one came between them. They decided their relationship ran its course and it was time to move on,” one such source explains.
