Britney Spears’ Awkward Meeting with Justin Timberlake

It’s been years since America’s Pop Princess broke up with teen idol Justin Timberlake, but, despite the fact that it’s not just the years that are separating them now, talk of them coming together again, either for personal or professional reasons, simply won’t stop. Coming to put an end to all rumors of a possible reunion between the two, Us Weekly is now running a story on how the two met and, for a full half hour, did their best to ignore each other.

Apparently, Justin and live-in girlfriend Jessica Biel were having dinner at the Yatai Asian Tapas Bar in West Hollywood the other evening, when Britney stepped in. An eyewitness told the mag that, as the two lovebirds made it obvious to Britney that they were in no mood to talk to her, or acknowledge her presence in any way for that matter, she too was extremely embarrassed for different reasons.

The spy says that Jessica, for one, looked positively gorgeous, whereas Britney not so much. This, claims the mag, was because the pop singer was only out with her mom for a late dinner, and also because the place is not usually a celebrity hotspot, so she did not expect to meet anyone she knew there, let alone former flame Justin.

The entire thing was all the more awkward as, try as they might to ignore each other, it was basically impossible for them to do so since, as sources have told Us Weekly, the restaurant is “so small… like the size of a living room.” “Jessica and Justin looked to be slumping down in their seats to avoid [Spears]. She left 30 minutes later,” one of the eyewitnesses said. “Shortly afterward, Justin and Jessica got in their car and left.”

On a final note, even if the situation was not even half as “uncomfortable” or awkward as the source makes it to be, this could easily put to rest all those rumors about Britney and Justin getting back together to record a track, which have begun to gain momentum since Spears put out her latest album, “Circus.”
