A couple of hours ago, I was telling you that, prompted by the fact that Britney has left the rehab clinic she was in, Kevin Federline went to a judge and asked for a custody hearing as soon as possible. At the same time, I was also telling you that Britney was back in California, seeing a criminal defense lawyer (supposedly to help her fight the paparazzi) and trying to see Kevin at his own house.

Various media outlets informed that the former pop star tried in vain to speak to Kevin, because he didn't answer the door bell or the intercom. There are some clues as to why she was trying to talk to the man she obviously despises but, so far, there is no official confirmation for what you are about to read and chances are there will never be one.

The 'National Enquirer' claims its reporters got to speak both with Britney and Kevin insiders, thus learning new facts that might shed some light on the star's strange behavior as of late. The paper writes that her second admission in rehab (which, too, lasted only 24 hours just like the previous one) was prompted by her two suicide attempts.

To make things more clear, we should probably mention that the first time she checked into rehab was because her mother staged an intervention and threatened her to take her children away. This time around, it was Britney's people who talked some sense into the star, after she tried twice to take her own life.

'Hours after creating a media frenzy by shaving her head, sources say the troubled star tried to take her own life by walking into traffic, only to be rescued at the last second by her staff. But that wasn't the end of Britney's self-destructive impulses. A short time later she was rushed to a doctor after saying she was going to kill herself and then taking too many Xanax, say the sources. Britney's emotional collapse was triggered by a "reconciliation" with estranged husband Kevin Federline - that was actually meant to be an intervention, sources tell "The Enquirer". "After she shaved off her hair, Britney had a complete breakdown and tried to kill herself", an insider told "The Enquirer"', the newspaper writes.

As a side note, this is the same media outlet that also ran stories containing inaccurate facts and that repeatedly has to make up for it by paying good money to the celebrities they cover. This, of course, does not mean that the story is a complete fake - just keep in mind that it might not be quite true to the facts.

Other sources tell other newspapers/tabloids that Britney has now lost the temporary physical custody of the two boys, who are now in the care of Kevin and his mother (which is why she might have wanted to talk to him yesterday). Plus, she just checked alone into a hotel, accompanied only by a friend and without her usual posse of children, nannies, bodyguards and assistants.

And one last rumor regarding Britney: word has it that she shaved her hair because she had lice or thought she had, at least. 'She thought lice were eating her hair extensions, so decided to get rid of them as soon as possible,' another unnamed source said.
