Britney Spears Announces Singles Collection, New Single

It’s been ten years that Britney Spears first broke on the music scene and shortly after became the reigning Princess of Pop. In order to celebrate such a lengthy career, as well as an immensely successful decade, Jive Records, Britney’s label, has just announced the release of a special album: the Singles Collection, which will include all of the singer’s singles released throughout the years, as well as a brand-new one, called “3,” Spears’ official website informs.

Britney is currently touring in support of her latest album, “Circus,” but she’s never too busy to think of her fans, it would seem. According to the announcement on the aforementioned website, the Singles Collection will be more than just a collection of tracks, as several surprises have been prepared for fans, aside from the new single. The album drops in November, while fans can wait to hear “3” playing on the radio as early as next week.

“In celebration of the 10th anniversary of her debut on the music scene, Jive Records is releasing Britney Spears The Singles Collection on November 24. To launch the special package a brand new single entitled ‘3,’ which Britney recently recorded with hitmaker Max Martin, will go to radio Tuesday, September 29. There will be two configurations of The Singles Collection; an ultimate fan box set and a standard version.” the official announcement reads.

“The ultimate fan box set version of The Singles Collection will contain all 29 of her singles, including the new song ‘3.’ Each disc will be packaged in its own slip sleeve case with original artwork, and will include an additional b-side or a remix of the track. The collection will include a DVD featuring all of Britney’s videos in chronological order. The ultimate fan box set will also include a special booklet featuring iconic images and fun facts about each track. The standard version of The Singles Collection will contain 17 of her chart topping favorites along with the new song ‘3,’ all on one CD.” it is further said.

Britney Spears, despite the long hiatus she went on after divorcing Kevin Federline, remains one of the best selling female artists of the moment, with an estimated 63 million albums sold worldwide over the ten-year period of activity.
