Keeping up with her promises of a new album, Britney Spears showed face again yesterday in Santa Monica, as she went to Shutters hotel to get some R&R by the pool. Despite the rather chilly weather, the pop tart came out in her bathing suit... and not much else!

There is one thing I just don't get about her and I know I've said it before: if she sees (and I have no doubt about it) that people are so not buying her latest fashion choices (meaning, going commando and flashing, dressing up in see-through outfits and forgetting to put on such insignificant things, like her bra), why does she keep up with them? Why doesn't she just dress in normal clothes?

I know that celebrities are more full of themselves than anyone else (and this was recently proven in a scientific study) but surely coming out in public in slippers or pajamas or, like Britney, almost naked, can't classify as 'normal' things people would do. Or am I wrong?

If that be the case, maybe such celebs as Brit Brit here should also consider the way their bodies look before dressing up in such revealing items. Or, if they are too busy to do that too, they should at least try to prove they have the slightest idea about what fashion really is. I mean, bikinis, see through summer dress and cowboy boots?! Girl, please! Gimme a break!

The bright side of all this (here we go again, trying to get at least something good out of a totally disastrous situation) is that, while she was waiting in her car, Britney pumped her own brand new music on the car radio. Of course, she refused to talk to the paps and even to pose for them (it's because they are guilty of her negative image, in case you didn't know) but at least she gave them a preview of what they are to expect (musically speaking) of 2007!
