I know we've all been hearing various bits and pieces about the night Britney decided to hold her own son hostage - and now that a more official version of what happened is available, we can very well see that many of the wild speculations about that fateful night were inaccurate to say the least. But I do have to mention one thing before I go into any more details: all the basic premises from which the not-so-truthful assumptions I was telling you about were constructed were in fact true. Britney did lock herself up in a room with her youngest son, Jayden James, she did experience severe mood swings and other symptoms pointing to a severe personality disorder and her son was taken to the hospital because paramedics noticed bruises and at least one bite mark on his body. Which means that even though some of the wilder theories put out included Britney waving around a gun and chasing Jayden through the house - which, for the record, was effectively not true - the madness that took place at Britney's house was by no means a small confrontation that the media blew out of proportion.
The true story goes like this: the police showed up at Britney's house after it became obvious that she had violated the custody orders and would not send the boys back to their father's house, as arranged. Contrary to what has previously been reported, Britney's assistant and nanny were in fact present during the entire standoff, and even warned the cops that Brit was high on prescription pills, as she had been "popping pills" all day. Apparently she called them "vitamins". Yes, that's really quite imaginative. I'm surprised she didn't call them "frappuccinos" or something like that. The fact is, the police did find a bottle of Prozac in her bedroom, so I guess it all adds up in the end.
When the police showed up, Britney was locked in her master bedroom (not the bathroom) with Jayden James and refused to come out for nearly three hours. During all this time, however, the cops could see Britney and Jayden from the back yard, and the little boy didn't seem to be upset or crying. When Brit Brit finally decided to get out of the bedroom, she was only (!) wearing panties, and was having dramatic mood swings, yelling and screaming at the policemen, then laughing, crying and going into a rage. "What the f**k are you doing in my house? I know who you are. I don't need your f***ing help" are some of the things Britney was apparently yelling, while also refusing to allow officers to cover her with some clothes and yelled "Don't cover me up. I'm f***ing hot". Yes, a hot mess, no one can argue with that.
The fact is the whole mess ended with Britney being taken to the hospital tied to a gurney, along with Jayden who was checked out by doctors and given a clean bill of health. I have no idea what the poor kid saw and the impact of that on his psychological wellbeing, but that's already a whole different problem. The fact is, police officers who were at Britney's house last week will testify at the custody hearing that will take place this Monday - and I'm pretty sure what they have to say won't help. Neither will the fact that the the cops allegedly filed a Child Endangering Report which is said to mark the beginning of a preliminary investigation into Britney's antics. Yes, someone will definitely have to pay for all the crazy. Stay tuned for more hot news!
