Britney Is Suicidal

The popwreck's life seems to be in a perpetual nosedive. Has she hit bottom yet?

I must confess, this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Britney's life has been a total mess for...well, a long time now and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the mother of all meltdowns is probably either on the way or already happening. Actually, I'm sort of surprised this hasn't happened earlier. But brace yourselves - Britney Spears, everyone, is so depressed she's been calling a suicide hot line in order to get some help. That sure can't be good news for the popwreck.

The thing that is said to have triggered her latest bout of depression is K-Fed refusing to come back to her. Yes, I know, it probably wasn't the most realistic things in the world, but Brit apparently tried to patch things up with her ex husband - only to be snubbed and to find out that K-Fed is already reportedly way ahead of the game, as it looks like he's been dating none other than Playboy model Nicole Narain, also known as Colin Farrell's sex tape partner.

I love Britney to death, but I'm afraid she's no match for a Playboy model. A source confirmed the fact that when Brit found out this little piece of news, she went completely crazy. "Britney's bouncing off the walls with rage and has been calling Kev day and night to check he's not with Nicole. She's desperately jealous and wants to keep Kevin's attention on her. She wants him back. She thinks by getting Kevin back he'll drop the custody battle-but that's not going to happen", said a source.

Also, rumor has it that on Friday, Brit attended a secret LA court hearing during which she was ordered to undergo psychological testing. This is only a rumor - but it sure makes sense, seeing how lately the former pop princess has apparently been doing her best to let the whole world know that she just doesn't care about anything and anyone. Otherwise, she would not have done some pretty stupid things, such as hitting the clubs and getting drunk the very same night after a judge ordered her to get her substance abuse in check and undergo random drug and alcohol screenings twice a week.

The upshot of all this is that over the weekend, Brit Brit reportedly made a number of calls to the Befrienders suicide hot line. "She's crying all the time. It's not the first time she's been suicidal" a friend of hers reveals. I rather feel sorry for her - but I'm at a loss for words, probably along with the rest of the world. I have no idea what to say - except to hope that those rumors about her friends urging her to go into rehab are true, and she ends up in a place where she can finally bring some sense back into her life, before it's too late.
